08.30 – course recce
08.45 – man down! Yep hit a rain filled pot hole followed by a rather spectacular get down
08.50 – Bike ok? Yep. Kit ok? Yep. Wrist ouch. Elbow double ouch. Few hours to recover, sure I’ll be fine
13.30 – Race face on!

Out onto a technical 5 lap bike course… busy narrow road of cone dodging, oncoming bikes and a 180 degree turn point with the added bonus of rain. (It always rains in Manchester!!) Still annoyed from the fall so smashed it round like I stole it  Fun, fun, fun…

So many different waves out on the course it was hard to tell where I was but spent most of the course overtaking and playing cat & mouse with a couple of guys so thought I must be doing ok… Once I’d handed over to runner from our team treated myself to a sneaky tempo brick run and actually felt pretty good!

Team won silver (with 2 females & male) and really happy to have finished with fastest female bike split of the event!

It’s great to be back in a Tri suit and feeling strong on the bike (thanks Matthew Bottrill) I’ll be working really hard on my run form to end the season on a high.
